Yes this is a picture of a very EcoEnlightened green roof so why is it an example of the Fossil Fuel Man. Well because the Fossil Fuel Man is MOWING THE ROOF WITH A TWO STROKE GAS MOWER!

While I am not sure exactly the amount of CO2 and other pollutants come out of a two stroke gas mower I would not be surprised if it negates any positive benefits this green roof offers. (I would love it if one of you EcoEnlightened Techies would comment on this with a few stats!!)

This is also a great example of one of the predominant aspects of the Fossil Fuel Man. He, or just as likely, she is not necessarily polluting out of spite or even laziness (although that does of course happen). Rather it is often just not being aware. The answer here, GET AN ELECTRIC OR BATTERY POWERED MOWER. Or better, plant something that does not need to be mowed.

Keep in mind this picture is a few years old and I am sure green roofs have made the technological advances to become EcoEnlightened roof which do not need to be mowed, just viewed and enjoyed!
