I suggested to my Chamber of Commerce that we do an EarthDay cleanup in 2005. I then became the Task Force Manager, and Designer of both the posters and the websites of the event for both 2005 and 2006. In 2007 family issues prevented me from running the event, and sadly it wasn't taken over. But the events went well both years, with much garbage being removed from the Blackstone Valley. My brother always made a point of cleaning up about a 1/2 mile of beach in front of my parents summer property in RI for EarthDay every year and the idea stuck! Debi
